Bio

Dr. Knutson was a professor at the Agricultural and Food Policy Center at Texas A&M University. In this capacity, he also served as a Regents professor and extension economist in agricultural policy and marketing.

Dr. Knutson served for four years as a teacher and dairy marketing researcher at Purdue University. In 1971, he went to Washington D.C. to serve as chief economist in the Agricultural Marketing Service of USDA. In 1973, he was named Administrator of the Farmer Cooperative Service. in 1975, he went from that position to Texas A&M University.

Dr. Knutson is the author of over 600 publications on agricultural policy and marketing. He is the author of a college textbook titled Agricultural and Food Policy, 4th edition.
